Update: The MUSICMAN Made Me Do It!!

Greeeetings!
So, I finally decided to just put out the hiphop mix after all (reffering to my anguish earlier). 
This is mix no 5.1. Didn´t want to label it no 6 due to my anger against computer breakdowns. 
My biggest head ache is the equaliser f**k up on the PMD track, and maybe the abrupt ending. Oh well. Whatta hell. 


My first ever MUSICMAN mix was also hiphop. That time I focused on a compilation consisting of unheard 90´s hiphop... b-sides and artists/groups most people missed out on. This time I just wanted to gather some of the classic joints, and some other stuff that cracks the concrete. Hope some of you guys will appriciate it.

Do or dont...

Working on a MUSICMAN hiphop compilation. Or was working that is. My computer broke down... badly! Finally managed to log in on the computer just to save all the important stuff, and to be able to keep any of the work put down so far on the mix; I had to mix it down. Before beeing really done that is. So now I have an hour-long mix of 90´s hiphop. Of course, the tracks are so hot it hurts, but some mixes are really shitty and grimmy.

So what to do? Put it out anyway, or bin the entire thing in grief and start from scratch?
Beeing in the phase of life I´m currently at (with a 4 months baby, good stuff!), I´m seriously considering the first option. 


Oh shit, am I once again excusing myself? That´s weak...hehe.

I love this naive schoolgirl touch. And hey, I don´t mean that in any perverse way at all. Shame on you if thinking so.  
I´m just a sucker for what I call schoolyard music. That preachy teachy stuff with easy tunes made for sing along and easy joy.





Beautiful tune, good voice. Love how the music is beat-orientated with a loopy sound. 



This track really has it all. First time I heard it my head almost exploded. Being a long time hiphop-chump, and especially 90´s hiphop, I´m a true sucker for horns (which probably is pretty obvious on many of my compilations...).

Some dope stuff from the 60´s and 70´s. Lots of euro-covers. Gotta love em, hehe.
Mostly beat-music, but also some garage, library and orchestral tunes.
